This was our view of the south end of the lake. Notice the birch railing as the steps head down to the lake... Nice touch!
Diane and Doug enjoying a boat ride on the lake with Wilma and Wayne. My parents would have been about 64 and 61 at this time.
For a time, I thought I might learn to play a guitar....but hard to do with little kids around.
Diane and Doug had their own little plastic boats...for in the very shallow water!
Diane was always 'Lady Bug' to me...and here she has her own lady bug at Potato Lake.
Sometimes it is almost more temptation that a kid can bear! (Diane tries to escape getting splashed!)
Here's Doug playing with Merry & Merrel's dog, Peppi, at the lake.
The cabins, and the nice martin house my dad built on a pole. Doug and Diane are having a good time at the lake!
Of course, you've got to try to feed the chipmunks when you are at the cabin! Doug and Diane on the front stoop of the Cooper cabin...
And, here's the red cabin down the hill...just a beautiful place!
So, continuing with our lives in the 1960's... come on back, and follow the 'journey.'
